Hace unos meses tuve el honor de que me propusieran desde la ONG Alianza por la Solidaridad colaborar con una obra para la adquisición de recursos que serían utilizados en proyectos de ayuda a los Derechos de la Mujer.
El proyecto se llama ALIADAS, y estaban dándole forma por aquel entonces. Era Noviembre del 2015 , temporada pre-navideña para nosotros los artistas, así que este año me concentré en darle forma a esa obra (desde aquí disculpas a todas esas personas que esperaban una "Esquina de Agua" - la colección de pequeño formato que saco por esas fechas - ) .
Esta es mi colaboración puesta a subasta, que espero que sirva para paliar de alguna forma el receso en las inversiones destinadas a ayudar a las mujeres, con el consiguiente resultado del aumento en los casos de violencia de género, la falta de recursos para soporte psicológico, de residencias y en general, todo aquello que estaba dando resultado en lo que a la igualdad se refiere...esa que todo ser humano necesita para desplegarse con plenitud ante el resto de la sociedad y sobre todo, ante sí mismo.
Ésta precisamente es la idea en la que se basa la imagen, En esta obra he versionado "La Creación" de Miguel Ángel Buonarroti para la Capilla Sixtina, como una especie de cuestionario visual "cómo hubiera sido si...":
El origen de la desigualdad entre el hombre y la mujer es tan remoto como la propia historia. Historia escrita e interpretada de generación en generación por el sexo masculino, así como la interpretación de las religiones en todo el mundo.
El peso conceptual que tienen los dogmas aprendidos son tan antigüos y durante tantos siglos aceptados cual verdad incuestionable, que es difícil enderezar la espalda y levantar una mirada al frente en cualquier mujer, ya que las raíces de la inferioridad y la culpa tienen su base en un inconsciente profundo, heredado....:
En el caso específico de mi ambiente cultural y religioso, las mujeres nacemos de una costilla, (no nos crea lo divino directamente) , nacemos para acompañar al hombre, (que necesita entretenimiento), y además cometemos el error de tentarle (y por ello pierde el ser humano el Paraíso...). Unas condiciones muy favorables para que merezcamos un trato igualitario.
Aquí "ella" es creada directamente por lo divino, y lo divino también es mujer, ...más allá incluso...es ella misma. Si lo divino ha creado a su imagen y semejanza, lo divino y lo humano son un espejo reflejando la misma esencia.
Efectivamente, sólo cuando nos damos permiso a sentir que merecemos lo mejor, ello sucede. Así Ella es aliada de Ella misma, le da permiso para hacer valer sus deseos, porque son tan legítimos como los de cualquier otro.

A few months ago I had the honor to be proposd from the NGO Alliance for Solidarity to collaborate with a work for the acquisition of resources that would be used in projects for the Rights of Women.
The project is called ALLIES, and they were giving shape to the project. It was November 2015, pre-Christmas season for us , the artists , so this past year I was inmersed on shaping this work (from here I apologize to all those people who expected a "Corner of Water" - the collection of small size that i do for those dates -).
This is my contribution for this auction, I hope it will serve somehow to mitigate the recess in government support to help women, with the result of the increase in cases of domestic violence, lack of resources for psychological support , residences and in general, everything that was working in what refers to equality ... that equality taht every human being needs to be deployed with fullness to the rest of society and especially to themselves.
This is precisely the idea behind the painting.
In this work I made a version of Michelangelo Buonarroti's "The Creation",for the Sistine Chapel, as a kind of visual questionnaire "how it would have been if ..." :
The origin of inequality between men and women is as remote as history itself. Written and performed from generation to generation by the male history and also the interpretation of religions around the world.
The conceptual weight that dogmas has ,are so old and for centuries accepted, that are an unquestionable truth,... it's difficult to straighten the back and elevate the look for any woman, since the roots of inferiority and guilt are based on a deep, unconscious inherited ....:
In the specific case of my cultural and religious environment, the women are born of a rib (isn't created directly from the divinity), born to accompany the man ( they need entertainment), and also make the mistake of tempting (and for us, the human loses the Paradise ...). Very favorable conditions to deserve equal treatment.
Here "she" is created directly by the divine, and the divine is also a woman ... ... beyond of this...is even herself. If God has created in his-her image and likeness, the divine and the human is a mirror reflecting the essence.
Indeed, only when we give ourselves permission to feel that we deserve the best, it happens. So she is an ally of herself, gives permission to enforce their wishes, because they are as legitimate as any other.
